County Heat Action Plan
In summer 2024, CSO launched a multi-layered engagement process to develop a County Heat Action Plan (CHAP). The CHAP will serve as an all-of-government policy agenda for ensuring our communities and ecosystems can thrive in the face of rising temperatures. CSO will use the CHAP to drive regionwide action, investment, and collaboration for heat resilience.
The draft County Heat Action Plan is available below. Thank you to everyone who provided feedback during the public comment period; the County carefully reviewed comments and is revising the plan accordingly. The Public Comments and Responses spreadsheet listed in the below Resources section addresses each comment individually.
The final version of the County Heat Action Plan will be posted on this page in February 2026.
