OurCounty Plan

Climate Resilience Supplement

To support more ready access to the County’s framework for climate resilience, the CSO produced a supplemental document to the OurCounty Plan that focuses on the climate resilience actions of the plan and the County’s work to enhance regional climate resilience. It provides new information regarding the top five climate hazards identified in the County Climate Vulnerability Assessment including context, what the County has done, and what are next steps to address these climate hazards.

Priorities And Progress

Each year, the Chief Sustainability Office and County departments work with partners and stakeholders to turn the collective vision of OurCounty into a reality. Implementation of the plan is a long-term commitment, with some of the goals and targets reaching 20 years into the future. To ensure near-term progress and accountability, OurCounty action priorities are identified and reported on annually in the fall.

The Draft 2026 OurCounty Annual Report public comment period has closed. Thank you for your input. The final report will be submitted to the LA County Board of Supervisors by October 31, 2026 and specific responses to all public comments will also be made available at that time.

2019 OURCOUNTY PLAN

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors adopted the original OurCounty Sustainability Plan on August 6, 2019. (See the Board Motion). The 2019 plan was LA County’s first comprehensive regional sustainability plan, outlining how local governments and partners can work together to enhance community well-being, protect the natural environment, and adapt to our changing climate.
