County Powers LA Climate Week

Your guide to events around town

LA Climate Week is a region-wide series of events focused on climate change, sustainability, and environmental action. It’s not just one conference. Hundreds of activities happen across the County, bringing together community groups, businesses, policymakers, artists and residents. The focus remains on solutions, particularly how to build resilience in the face of inevitable climate impacts like rising heat, more severe drought, more frequent wildfires and increasing sea-level rise.

This year’s installment runs from April 8 through April 15, welcoming tens of thousands of participants. For a full list of public events, click here. The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors recently proclaimed Los Angeles Climate Week, reinforcing the County’s commitment to supporting local climate leadership and community-based solutions (see Board motion). The County’s Chief Sustainability Office (CSO) is sponsoring and participating in many events across the region.
