About

Adopted by the Board of Supervisors in August 2019, the OurCounty Sustainability Plan puts forth a bold, inclusive, and regional vision for the future of LA County. To elevate the County’s ambitious agenda and build off of the work region wide, the Chief Sustainability Office has been engaging with partners and communities to update the plan. 

The draft 2025 OurCounty Plan is now available for review and public comment. The County is hosting a webinar on the draft plan on August 7 at 10am, and you can register here to participate. In addition, public comment on the draft 2025 OurCounty Plan is open until Friday, August 22, 2025. Please submit your comments here or email them to sustainability@cso.lacounty.gov.

Progress

Implementation of OurCounty is a long-term commitment, with some of the 159 Actions reaching out over 20 years into the future. The 12 cross-cutting Goals alongside the 159 Actions reflect both the breadth and depth of OurCounty. Nearly half are “On Track” or have been “Achieved”, and 83% of the 78 Priority Actions have been “Achieved” or are “On Track” to be achieved by the target date. Timeline

The 2025 OurCounty Plan will be submitted to the Board of Supervisors by October 31, 2025.
